about

Then it was Dawn is inspired by a writing trip to Edinburgh last week (no time like the present!). I stayed in an apartment on the Royal Mile, overlooking the city centre. Thanks to working late, I accidentally stayed up until the sun began rising over the city.

This piece is about the sense of joy and contentment that came from seeing golden morning light bathe the Scottish capital's stunning architecture, and knowing I could have a lie in after a late night! It also features me on my new cello, purchased when in Edinburgh.
